Montevideo Wanderers Fútbol Club, usually known simply as Wanderers is a Uruguayan football club based in Montevideo.
The club originally wore blue and white stripes. Wanderers changed to their current black and white stripes as a homage to the Argentine club Estudiantes de Buenos Aires for their showed friendship.
True to its name, the club has had more than four home fields over the years, one of them being Liverpool's current stadium, Estadio Belvedere. Additionally, the club has suffered from several periods of homelessness, though none during the playoff season. Its current home stadium is Viera Stadium, located in the neighbourhood of Prado, in Montevideo.
Notable players throughout the history of the club include: Obdulio Varela, Enzo Francescoli, Pablo Bengoechea, however, the most admired player of Wanderers's history is Jorge Barrios, . The Italian-Argentine Mauro Camoranesi played very shortly for the bohemios in the 90's.
