The Montecristo No. 4 is the world's best selling Habanos cigar.[citation needed] It is approximately a half hour smoke, and as such is generally regarded as a strong starting point for those new to Cuban cigars.
[edit] Experience
Numerous flavours can be detected in any cigar, and flavours vary from smoke to smoke and smoker to smoker, but many smokers have noticed a heavy earthy undertone with tangy chocolate and coffee notes. Many smokers have also reported finding inconsistencies between cigars in a box, finding some to have a very tight draw or uneven burn, although all contain some of Cuba's finest tobacco. These reported inconsistencies have given way to rumours that the No. 4 is the cigar Montecristo uses to train novice rollers.
