Monica Hannan

Monica Hannan (born 1961) is the news director of KFYR-TV in Bismarck, North Dakota and a weekday anchor of both The Evening Report and The Night Report alongside Alan Miller.

Monica Hannan started working at KFYR when she was in high school but left because of other challenges and returned in 1988. In the past, she has been the station's city beat reporter, the station's political reporter, the station's consumer reporter, and the station's health reporter. At one time, she anchored the station's First News At Five newscast. Hannan enjoys writing and has writter three books, two of them with her husband. She wrote the 2006 book The Dream Maker[1] which tells the story of Patrick Atkinson, founder of The GOD'S CHILD Project.[2] The books she wrote with her husband are Dakota Day Trips : Discovering North Dakota's Hidden Treasures, and More Dakota Day Trips : Discovering North Dakota's Hidden Treasures.

She is currently married to KFYR morning weathercaster and feature reporter Cliff Naylor and is the mother of three children. She has a degree in history from Minnesota State University, Moorhead and is interested in North Dakota's past.
