The cover of Legion of Super-Heroes v4 #4, published in 1990, featuring the final appearance of Lar Gand as "Mon-el." Art by Keith Giffen and Al Gordon. The character was later renamed "Valor" for the remainder of the original continuity but was subsequently reintroduced as Mon-el once again after the series was relaunched.
