[edit] Why another general?

The reason I started this stub is because even though this general is not in the regular reading of foreign papers, his name is still mentioned in the events of October 2001, an occasion of Pakistani foreign policy u-turn (siding with the US at the cost of Taliban). He was given this post because of his not-so-fundamentalist views about the Taliban or other terrorist groups, as opposed to the general he replaced. Razzsic 15:03, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
