Talk:Mohammad Qatanani
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Attempting to provide balance and factual content
Article appears grossly one-sided in light of the POV content, specifically:
"He was quoted in 2004 as seeing no "big issue" with charities supporting the children of suicide bombers "after" the suicide attacks..."
If one is so concerned for maintaining Wikipedia "neutral" one would further quote his explanation "that the children are innocent, even if their parents are not" so as to provide the reader with balanced content without having the reader to make improper inferences on speculative and quoted-out-of-context material.
There was some INACCURATE information as well. Such as that Qatanani faces deportation "because of a conviction in an Israeli military court of membership in Hamas." This is incorrect. Qatanani faces deportation because he allegedly failed to disclose in an immigration application that he was arrested by Israeli forces. There is an unquestionable difference between those two propositions.
Moreover, the word "allegedly" must be used since the trial has not been completed and the judge has not rendered a verdict. Therefore, one should not remove the sourced and credible information that is accurate, devoid of bias from the article without first discussing the matter in the talk section. Furthermore, terms like - "admit" and other guilt-accepting words - should not be used in the article since the source does not even use that word, see WP:OR.Scythian1 (talk) 16:27, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
