'Mohamed Bin Abdulrahman Hassan Fakhro (Half of the World) ( نصف الدنيا)'
Born in 1906 in Al Bida - Doha - State of Qatar Died in 1982 in Qudaibiya - Manama - Kingdom of Bahrain
Fighter in the Zubara War 1935 with Al Thani, he was also to be said that have brought in two canons from India on board his uncles ships after smuggling Gold coins that were sewed in his vest as in those days it was forbidden by the English to smuggle gold out of the Persian Gulf.
He was named by Shaikh Abdulla Bin Jassim Ruler of Qatar at the time as "Half of the world" for his vast knowledge and wisdom and considered to be his right hand man at the time.
Later he was in charge of monitoring the education of the following Sons and nephews of Shaikh Ali bin Abdulla Al Thani Ruler of Qatar, Shk. Ahmed bin Ali (Amir of Qatar) Shk. Khalifa bin Hamad (Amir Qatar), Shk Suhaim bin Hamad (Minister of Foreign Affairs), Shk. Mohamed Bin Hamad (Minister of Education), Shk. Khalid bin Hamad and others.
A very noble and wealthy Businessman, he moved in 1946 to live in Bahrain and continue his business away from politics, however continued to have strong relationships till his death with the Rulers and Shaikh's of Qatar and enjoyed an excellent relationship where he was considered to be a man of wisdom and advisory to the Rulers of Bahrain mainly Shk. Salman bin Hamad and the late Amir Shk. Isa bin Salman.
He had 9 sons Dr. Ali (Former Misniter of Health and Education in Bahrain), Dr. Hassan, Jassim(died 2001, Abdulaziz, Khalid (Advisor to Bahrain Prime Minister Court), Abdulrahman (Businessman), Adnan (Undersecretary Bahrain Ministry of Electricity and Water), Yousif (Businessman), Jamal (Deputy Chairman Shura Council - Bahrain) and one Daughter.
