Mohamad Ahansal

Mohamad Ahansal (born January 1., 1973, Zagora) is a Moroccan long distance runner.
In 1998, he completed the 137-mile-long Marathon des Sables in a record time of 16 hr. 22 min. 29 secs., earning him the current Guinness World Record for fastest desert crossing.
In 2008, he again won the Marathon des Sables. This time the longest ever with 245,3 km (152,5 miles) in 19 hr. 27 min. 46 secs.
He lives in Ingolstadt, Bavaria and starts for the MTV Ingolstadt.
