[edit] Merge of Modulation rate with Baud, symbol rate and symbol (data)

I agree that this article should be merged into another one. Modulation rate is just symbol rate in the context of a transmission channel that is modulated (as distinct from just encoded). However, whether to merge into symbol (data) or symbol rate is not obvious as those two closely related articles don't appear to come from the same point of view. --GrahamDavies (talk) 16:29, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

No one has protested to the suggested merge, but no one has found time to accomplish the merge. So feel free to start working on it. Perhaps one step at a time is easiest - start by only merging two of the articles. I suggest that the name of the merged article should be "Baud", "Baud rate" or "symbol rate", since these are quite common terms, but it does not matter from my point of view.
