Modeling and Simulation Information Analysis Center (MSIAC)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Modeling and Simulation Information Analysis Center (MSIAC)[1] is a US Department of Defense (DoD) sponsored Information Analysis Center (IAC)[2] under the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC)[3]. It is currently operated by Alion Science and Technology[4] for the DoD. The MSIAC functions as a defense modeling and simulation "help desk"[5], providing on call assistance, and maintaining information and documentation of use or interest to the US defense modeling and simulation (M&S) community. MSIAC services include a DoD-wide calendar of events [6] germane to the DoD M&S community, a monthly newsletter [7], and a quarterly journal [8]. The MSIAC also operates and maintains the Department of Defense Modeling and Simulation Resource Repository (MSRR)[9], a comprehensive catalog of models, simulations, data sources, tools, and documentation. The MSRR, which is continually updated, includes the largest collection of information on commercial models and related items available today.
