Modbury High School

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Modbury High School is a state school in the north-eastern suburbs of Adelaide, bordered by the primary school Modbury South. The school was opened in 1965 to cater for the large population increase in the area.

In the mid 1980's, the school had a collective fundraiser to raise money to construct the gymnasium that is shared with Modbury South, and is prominent at the entrance to the school. It is a very large gym that can be used for many things such as sport, and many other things.

The school has a great music program and competes in many competitions using the Stage and Senior Concert bands. In multiple band competitions, they have managed to beat the majority of special interest music schools in South Australia such as Marryatville, Woodville, and Scotch College.

Modbury High School also has a very successful sports programme, having been the successful champions for what is now the 8th year running at Mentos Stadium (Arcadium)

Modbury totally pwns but is full of plebs so sometimes it can be a bit dodgey. The plebs of the school are complete tryhards.

The ethos of the school is "Finem Respice" ("Consider The End").
