Anyone who's seen more of the manga, feel free to mercilessly edit this article...I've got up to Vol. 6 (Ranba Ral and Hamon Crowley's death) and one issue of Gundam Ace which shows the disastrous result of Romeo Garcia's attack on Jaburo, but I'm not sure if things change more drastically and if so how drastically after they leave Earth storywise (much as they did in the compilation films). So far it does seem to be realtively closely following the TV storyline with a few superficial changes in who did what and where it took place ...love the idea of placing the Zeon Occupation HQ in Los Angeles City Hall, for instance.

Also, Does anyone have any info on Tomino and Ohkawara's involvement in the series, outside of Ohkawara possibly updating some of the designs? Kunio Ohkawara is listed in the credits as a designer, but I don't know if that just is a "he designed the originals that I, Yasuhiko Yoshikazu tinkered with" or a "Thanks, Kunio-san, for updating the mecha for my adaptation". Obviously, Tomino must have given his blessing, but it'd be interesting to know if he had any input on some of the backstory that Yasuhiko has put into the manga.

Finally, anyone have a firm confirm on the 12 book figure I quoted? That was, I'll admit, from a count of volumes at my local Book Off.Pat Payne 15:56, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
