Help Me!

PLEASE READ AND RESPOND. Hey. I wanted to let you guys at Wikipedia know something. You know that Pierre Samuel du Pont VI page I made and was "deleted". Well it wasn't exactly deleted all the way. The page can be found in a google search in many different ways. If you serch for the article and click "cached" the article is there. I feel bad that I made an article unworthy of an encyclodpedia and now I am bringing the website down. I wanted to let you know that the article is still around and that you should delete it. Then people would be misguided by the un-approved article that is "on" wikipedia. Glad I can help. Please respond and update me on the situation. This is the website in which it can be found http: http://72.14.205.104/search?q=cache:Ox_14ommNC4J:en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pierre_Samuel_du_Pont_VI+Pierre+Samuel+du+Pont+VI&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=5&gl=us

When the author's books get published, may I put the article on this so you can look at it and tell me what to do to make it stay in Wikipedia? Thanks again!

Go ahead. You can leave me a note here when it's ready. Rnb (talk) 00:59, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia Resonse

Credible sources aren't the issue here--although I would suggest that the sources you provided don't help, as they deal with other members of the subject's family and not the subject himself. The issue here, however, is whether or not the subject is notable, which the subject does not appear to be. For information on the notability guidelines for people, please see WP:PEOPLE. If you included information on his hockey championships, it would still most likely not be enough to establish notability. Athletes have specific guidelines they should meet, and most non-professional athletes do not meet the criteria. Please see WP:ATHLETE for more information. Rnb (talk) 20:43, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Feel free to clean this page up. As far as the author is concerned, you should wait until he has books published before attempting to create a page on him/her. The big criteria for notability on Wikipedia is that you can prove what a person has already done--I'm sure Mr. du Pont (and others) will be famous at some point in the future, but the future is not something that can be proved, so Wikipedia is not able to accept articles on those people. Thanks. Rnb (talk) 23:07, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
