[edit] Defunct Teams
I'm removing the New York Highlanders from this list - they aren't defunct, just re-named. Similarly, the inclusion of teams like the Milwaukee Braves and New York Giants seems odd, as neither MLB nor the teams themselves consider them defunct. I understand the need to include clubs such as the 1901 Milwaukee Brewers, 1901-1902 Baltimore Orioles, St. Louis Browns and the like, since their inclusion isn't apparent from the list of current clubs, but not these.
