Mladen Kalpic

Mladen Kalpic is B.A. Philosopher and M.A of film and media studies born on 21 June 1977, in Belgrade, Former Yugoslavia.

Mladen Kalpic has been known to Serbian public for his dozen of reportages for Serbian National TV RTS1 (witch can also be seen on www.youtube.com under his name) and plenty of magazine and newspaper articles (original scans of them all can be read in Serbian language on his www.tagged.com. account Mladen K in My Journal section). He is also founder member and frontman of influential experimental band THE FORCE - 4S and artist. His work with his band THE FORCE was presented on many local Belgrade radio and TV stations and in 2005 on the Radio Free Berlin Reboot FM Program.

Mladen Kalpic exhibited his first painting at the age of five. His first solo exhibition I GOT TO SEE was held on 19 September 2006, and his paintings can also be seen on the Saatchi Gallery web site. [1]

His three short films were successfully presented on NEW LIGHT festival of digital film (13-15. September 2007) and can be seen on festival site www.novasvetlost.nadlanu.com

Mladen Kalpic is also an author of Philosophy In Comic Strip.

On 24th April 2007 he has officially finished working on his master thesis Aesthetical Analyse of Star Wars Serial (partly published in magazine for art, culture and literature GRADINA nr 19. on 18th September 2007) and is now preparing his PhD about the aesthetic of Music Video Clips.

Since 2nd April 2007 his band THE FORCE has been presented on MySpace TheForce4S from where you can download for free four of his aleatoric songs Cardiogramm, Teenage Caveman, Just Another Stupid Love Song and The Soup Will Be Eaten By Me along with their two inventive videos for What You Shout and Just Another Stupid Love Song, lyrics and promo photographs.
