[edit] Thanks for all your help
Mike:
I'm glad you tagged the Elliot Handler entry for deletion — I sure wasn't gonna do it. I've had enough of talking dolls for one week. In fact, this whole brouhaha was like Valley of the Talking Dolls. After I found myself fantasizing about getting the ghost of Rod Serling to conjure up one of those evil Talking Tina dolls and letting it wreak havoc on a certain someone, I had to laugh and walk away from it. Getting worked up about a fekkin' doll just ain't worth it.
Anyway, I'd be happy to copyedit anything you write. But trust yourself — you're a fine writer. Never hurts to have a second set of eyes look something over, tho.
Thanks again. I'm over the whole doll thing, or should I say, Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (one of my all-time fave flicks). Cheers. Kinkyturnip (talk) 01:13, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
p.s. feel free to delete the transcripts of the saga above — it's worse than reading a Jacqueline Susann novel.
[edit] That was the easiest copyediting job ever
Finis Hominis. Done. You could teach some Chatty Cathys about succinct writing.
The plot of Finis — especially the part about the mental hospital — sorta reminded me of Dennis Muren's Equinox. Have you seen it? Criterion gave it the two-disc treatment recently. Muren's mostly known for his stop-motion animation work on Star Wars (the scene where Chewbacca and R2D2 play chess with crittery chess pieces). But Equinox has its own clunky charm. It was a late-show favorite of mine as a kid. Kinkyturnip (talk) 08:44, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Messages
When I updated my user page last night, I found your secret message and it made me smile. Thanks.
I'm having a devil of a time editing plot summary for Serial Mom. (If you think it's long now, you should have seen it before; it read like the plot summary to an epic mini-series like Roots.) I'm trying to get it down to length of Beyond the Valley of the Dolls plot summary, which I managed to summarize while only leaving out Porter Hall's disgrace at Z-Man's and Harris' asskicking at same. So I know it's possible to be brief. Your help would be most welcome.
By the way, have you noticed the Elliot Handler entry has a record five tags for various crimes against Wiki and the English language? And it's still there (cue Elton John's "I'm Still Standing" — ugh, I hate that song). Take care. Kinkyturnip (talk) 21:15, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Perversion
I haven't seen this film, so the minor changes I made to entry may be wrong. If so, change 'em back.
Coupla issues with entry:
- Using Palestrino and The Commendator interchangeably may be a little confusing. But maybe I'm too stodgy, so you decide.
- Information seems to be missing from entry. Paragraph that starts, "When he's acquitted of charges..." What charges? Was there a trial? Consider inserting a paragraph explaining the trial and its events so article flows logically.
- Please put the characters the different actors play in the cast list.
I hope my advice makes sense. We're having a heatwave in San Francisco, and my brain is fried (and not for the usual reason).
I really enjoy reading your entries. You've turned me on to a whole batch of cult films I never even heard of. Kinkyturnip (talk) 19:15, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
