Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Vilayat Khan, but we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. Perhaps you would like to rewrite the article in your own words. For more information, take a look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Happy editing! Sasquatcht|c 23:28, 21 October 2005 (UTC)

Please stop, I do not want to block you from editing. Sasquatcht|c 23:28, 21 October 2005 (UTC)

My website is doing his 'official site' and I have permission from his son to use this materials for wiki...He is one of the most legendary of indian musicians...It would be nice to have this information about him here

Well, we tend not to like copyandpasted material, although if you do, you are agreeing to release all of it under GFDL and therefore giving perimission for it to be copied by anyone given the correct reference. If you still wish to post the information make a note on the talk page that you agree to the terms of GFDL and that should be fine. Also, try to read our Wikipedia:Manual of style and edit the information accordingly. Otherwise, I can't think of anything else. Thanks for your intrest. Sasquatcht|c 00:12, 22 October 2005 (UTC)
Oh, and that only applies to material that you yourself have written, if it written by someone else, we will need personal conformation that they indeed are releasing it under GFDL. Sasquatcht|c 00:20, 22 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Vilayat_khan.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Vilayat_khan.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. -- Carnildo 07:05, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
