[edit] Bolton Landing—Riverbank Road
Route 11, known as Bolton Landing—Riverbank Road, begins at Exit 24 of the Adirondack Northway, at the base of Bull Rock Mountain. The road quickly intersects with Schroon River Road (CR 10) before it crosses a bridge over the Schroon River. Route 11, after crossing the river, intersects with East Schroon River Road, an original part of New York State Route 9M. When the highway rounds the base of a mountain, Route 11 enters the town of Riverbank.[2]
The highway turns to the southeast, leaving Riverbank, and rounding around a mountain, which peaks at 1,800 feet (550 m) high. Route 11 continues farther to the southeast, leaving Riverbank and the mountain behind. At the east end of the mountain, the secondary connector to Bolton Landing begins, known as Valley Woods Road. Route 11 continues eastward, intersecting with local roads towards Bolton Landing and Lake George. After passing to the north of the Sagamore Resorts and Golf Club, Bolton Landing—Riverbank Road terminates at an intersection with New York State Route 9N on the shores of Lake George.[2]
[edit] Valley Woods Road
Route 11's second segment, the connector to downtown Bolton Landing, begins at an intersection with Bolton Landing-Riverbank Road southeast of Riverbank. The road rounds the base of a mountain, heading to the southeast. The connector is parallel to the main segment, climbing up several hills, as high 1,400 feet (430 m), and intersecting with local roads. At the intersection with Federal Hill Road (CR 27), Route 11's second segment changes names to Horicon Avenue, where it enters downtown Bolton Landing. The segment terminates at an intersection with NY 9N.[3]
