The result of the debate was Delete. Centrix appears to advocate deletion here; that makes a 3-1 consensus with a solid rationale that bad-faith "policy proposals that weren't meant to be policy proposals" need not be archived, at least in this case. 15:22, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Alternative name

This page used to be in article space, and was nominated for deletion as being a POV fork of established guidelines. It has since been moved to Wikispace where it belongs, but it is still (alleged to be) a POV fork and the AFD nomination was simply aborted when the page moved. Hence, we should consider its deletion once more. >Radiant< 10:57, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

• Keep and reject PoV fork of naming policy, as a campaign for certain Balkan names; but if we delete it, it will just turn up somewhere else. Septentrionalis 17:30, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
• Comment: Since it was nonsensically put in article space and was created to push a POV, it is not a normal, good-faith policy proposal. I'm not sure how many rejected proposals we should keep around for eternity, this one especially, and proposals like this are not likely to be re-created. —Centrx→talk • 17:36, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
• Delete I tried to remove the POV of the original, but it now reads essentially that POV and a critique of it; this is a matter of some controvery among WP editors and I was somewhat disappointed that when I nominated it for deletion it got moved to a place where some would consider it as a directive.
