[edit] User:Nikkul
In this user page, this user have called "Being an American?....Priceless". He offended American sentiment by such comment, he offended United Staes. This userpage should be deleted as soon as possible. Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 11:39, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not sure if I see a big problem; what's wrong, here? Is it worth deleting the whole page to fix one problem? – Luna Santin (talk) 11:45, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- Such comment is an insult to United States. Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 11:46, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- Keep. Maybe I'm just immeasurably thick, but I don't particularly get what's so offensive to Americans about being proud of being American. =) Either way, it's hardly a trollish statement and deleting an entire user page for a single highly debatably offensive comment hasn't exactly been a widely followed procedure before. --wwwwolf (barks/growls) 11:52, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- It can be seen clearly that in this userpage, this user have mentioned some assets like some cars, house etc. in United States with thier prices, but at the end of the page, this user have called "Being an American?....Priceless". It is meant that the cars have value, house have value, but not the country, it is priceless of being an American. Please note that United States have the tradition to give birth to great people like Abraham Lincoln. This comment is an offence to 300,000,000 American people. This is a type of xenophobia and Anti-Americanism. This is an insult to United States, an insult to all Americans. Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 12:07, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- Er... Last I checked "priceless" is clearly a lot more positive expression than "no value at all", which you were implying. For the argument's sake, is there a more positive statement than "priceless"? What sort of statement would you prefer, since we're supposed to discuss the alternatives to deletion here? By the way, did you discuss with this with the user in question before bringing this to MfD? --wwwwolf (barks/growls) 12:34, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

- Keep Priceless means it's so valuable you can't put a price on it (see here)--Phoenix-wiki 12:31, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- And wasn't there a Master card ad like htat?--Phoenix-wiki 12:32, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yes. People might want to hint the user change the user page before MasterCard sues them. They've been known to do that, I think... --wwwwolf (barks/growls) 12:34, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- I have checked the meaning from Oxford English Dictionary which gives another meaning very absurd. Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 12:43, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Oops, to be honest, I really thought this user want to say that "United States has no value", now after seeing the link to wiktionary, I may misunderstood the meaning. And if that was the case, I am sorry for that. Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 12:47, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
Is not it possible to close the discussion now? Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 13:19, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
