The result of the debate was delete per inappropraite purpose for portal. Also deleted per this MfD: Portal:WorldFood/Asia/Recipes and Portal:WorldFood/Asia/India/Recipes. —Doug Bell ^talk 17:21, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

• Delete. The introduction itself states its purpose is to "create the worlds biggest Food/Recipe Site". Obviously, Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information, and this includes non-encyclopedic recipes and manuals. Not a valid portal. Michaelas10 (Talk) 18:52, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

• Delete - With no need to "see what happens". If you take out the recipe stuff from the mission statement, you are left with an empty fork of Portal:Food. Author should be cautioned over WP:NOT policies and referred to an alternate Wiki to host this. —Dgies^t c 23:32, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

• Delete - keep recipes in Wikibooks, please. A "recipe of the week" function that provides standard recipes for food items that have Wikipedia articles might be permissible in Portal:Food, depending on how it is implemented. Gracenotes^T § 13:28, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
