[edit] What is BBRBR?

Inspired by the passion of R&B singer Randy Gill, BBRBR launched on March 7, 2007 featuring a radio program (BBRBR Listening Party), a request line for listeners to requests adult oriented R&B songs be added to heavy rotation on urban stations, and a profile of the three artists featured on that month's listening party.

BBRBR, which stands for Bring Back R&B Radio, is managed by Kristal Miller, an Atlanta songwriter, and Nita Hampton, a Houston HR professional. Randy Gill is the third member of the staff, acting as the host of the listening party.

A MySpace page houses an audio of the listening party, information on featured artists, information on staff, and a listing of online radio stations that are currently broadcasting the program. A redirected page from the bbrbr url houses a form for submitting request line requests.

This grass roots effort is all volunteer and has no activities associated with revenue generation. It exists solely to help promote and return traditional R&B music to a place of prominenct on urban format radio stations.
