The Missionaries of Africa (formerly known as the White Fathers) is a Catholic missionary and charitable organization, founded in 1868 by Cardinal Charles Lavigerie when he was the Archbishop of Algiers, Algeria. The organization has 1,737 men serving as missionaries in 23 countries in Africa.
