“Miss Maggie”
Song by Renaud
Album Mistral gagnant

Miss Maggie is a song by French singer-songwriter Renaud. In it, the singer criticizes men, whom he sees as petty and warlike, by contrasting them to women, whom he praises, with the ironic exception of Margaret Thatcher.

The first verse reads:

Translation:

Worldly woman or whore
Who often are one and the same
Be you a normal woman, a star, or a fat chick
Females of all types, I love you
Even to the worst among you
I dedicate these few verses
That come from my disgust toward men
And their warrior mentality
For no woman on the planet
Will ever be stupider than her brother
Nor more prideful, nor mor dishonest
Except perhaps Mrs. Thatcher
