This is a true-color image, acquired from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) aboard NASA’s Terra satellite on March 5, 2001. The sediment plume from the Mississippi River is at right, and the plume from the Atchafalaya River can be seen at the left.
