Depends on your definition. Note that the original link redirected merely to mamba which was inadequate and that black mamba already has one disambiguation note. How soon will that become a full-blown redirect page and require another redirect? Just trying to keep things future-proofed...

I agree that the original wikilink was a redirect (and unnecessary). As for future-proofing, we need to keep things accurate as they are now and make future changes when the need arises. Anyway, no offense; I was just trying to welcome you to Wikipedia, and explain why I changed your edit. Ward3001 18:50, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
