The community is instructed to decipher whether or not (and to what extent) Justin's editing privileges should be revoked. All discussion should be noted on the proposal's talk page.

My proposition Justin be placed upon an editing restriction regarding fraternities and sororities articles as well as any other organizations that he is a part of in order to discontinue disruption. If he continues to be disruptive, harass other editors, or any other type of uncivil behavior, he will be community banned from Wikipedia.

  • Note: I don't think in this case filing an request for comment would be enough, because I feel that the user would continue despite being warned by others that his behavior disruptive, and he soapboxes even when I gathered evidence for restrictions. I absolutely do not think this user has the community's goals at heart, and only contributions is revert warring editors (established or not) in order to argue with them. miranda 06:08, 18 April 2008 (UTC)


The community is asked to participate in deciding whether or not any action should be taken regarding Justin's behavior.

No action should be taken against Justinm1978.

[edit] Civility and editing restrictions (civility and editing restrictions along with mentorship)

Justinm1978 is placed on editing restrictions regarding subjects of personal interest and civility restrictions (with mentorship from one uninvolved administrator) for three months. When inserting a source, he must not insert his personal point of view without providing a reliable source (preferably available on the internet). If he disagrees on the article's content, he can revert only one time in a duration of one week per article. Afterwards, he is instructed to use the article's talk page in order to settle disputes. Justin is also recommended to gain help from the virtual classroom to acquaint himself with Wikipedia's core policies during this time. If Justin does not comply with these restrictions (or if penalty is severe), he may be blocked. If Justin is blocked three times or more, he will topic banned for six months.

Justinm1978 is topic banned for six months with civility restrictions. He must not edit articles related to his personal affiliations. Also, he is to be mentored by one uninvolved administrator during this time. When inserting a source, he must not insert his personal point of view without providing a reliable source (preferably available on the internet). Justin is also recommended to gain help from the virtual classroom to acquaint himself with Wikipedia's core policies for three months. If Justin does not comply with these restrictions (or if the penalty is severe), he may be blocked. If Justin is blocked after three times, Justin will be banned from Wikipedia.

Justinm1978 is banned from Wikipedia by the community. In order for Justinm1978 to be unbanned, he must file a request for arbitration.
