Miroslav Lazanski

Miroslav Lazanski is leading politico-military commentator of the Belgrade daily Politika. [1]
Born to Slovenian father and Serbian mother, he graduated from University of Zagreb's Faculty of Law. His first jobs in journalism came in Zagreb-based print media: Vjesnik daily newspaper, as well as Danas and Start weekly newsmagazines.
In February 1991, Lazanski moved to Belgrade where he got a job at Politika where he worked as commentator until fall 1995.
Simultaneous to writing for different Balkan publications his articles were also published in Greek paper Katimerini as well as Japanese papers Diamond Weekly and Securitarian.
He was reporter from armed conflicts such as Soviet war in Afghanistan, Iran-Iraq War, Beirut civil war during Gulf War, Chechnya during Desert Storm, Slovenia, Bosnia and Kosovo. He interviewed Bernard W. Rogers, John Galvin, Sergei Akhromeyev, Viktor Kulikov, Dmitry Yazov, Vladimir Cernevin, Vladimir Krjuckov, Igor Radionov, Bennie L. Davis, Paul Sper, Crosbie Saint, Sir John Woodward, James Alan Abrahamson, Harold Holst, Ferenc Karpatij, Vasil Mileu, Dobri Ðurov, Shah Navazi Tanai, Maher Rašid, Helmut Wilman, Gvid Venturoni, Joe Modise, Georg Mering, and others.

He is author of several books.
