Mirdif (Arabic: مردف‎) is a small, but rapidly growing residential area located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Recently Union Properties (UAE property development company) completed a new property project called Uptown Mirdif.

[edit] Uptown Mirdif

Uptown Mirdif is a property project developed by Union Properties. The project is designed along the lines of an ancient spa town. It features uniquely designed open shopping area which include 400,000 sq ft (37,000 m²) of net lettable space. The project features also villas, apartments, play areas and recreation facilities, healthcare center and Primary school and over 2000 accommodations (villas and flats).

The population of the General Mirdiff area is a complete mixture of all nationalities,UAE nationals, middle-eastern expatriates, along with Asian and European expatriates.

A further large property development is presently under construction: Mirdiff gate is being constructed on the northern end of the area which comprises a large number of individual houses, and many apartment blocks.
