Mirashi buwa

Mirashi buva was a prominent disciple of the great Balkrushnabuva Ichalkaranjikar of Gwaliar gharana. He was also an actor and had peformed in many of the sangeet natakas. He was well known for his ability to sing the most difficult part of Indian Classical vocal performance, the "taan", for which the Gwaliar gharana was very famous. His "taan" was termed as the "stroke of the lightening" by his contemporaries.
His notable disciples include Pt. Vinayakbuva Utturkar and Yashawantbuva Joshi among many others.
