Mink frogs live in Minnesota,Wisconsin,Michigan,Maine, and Newyork.

The Mink Frog is usualy 2 or 3 inches long.It is regularly green with brown spots. The frogs belly is white or yellow or a creamy color.Males have a bright color of yellow throat.
They eat alot, including snails, spiders and other insects. Mink frogs smell like minks, that's why they are called Mink frogs. The give an odor off as a warning.
They sound like a low pitch hammering sound, (tok, tok, tok, kuk, kuk, kuk). Well I had alot of fun learning about Mink frogs. I learned that they spend most of their time in the water or close to the water edge. This is on of the kinds of frogs that sit on lilly pads. They sit on lilly pads to rest. They hunt mostly at night and hide during the day. Mink frogs spend winter on the bottom of rivers, ponds, or lakes. They live along the edges of streams, large ponds and small lakes. They are found in the southeast corner around whiteshell provir park. Adult Mink frogs eat insects of many kinds. Most of their food is insects that fly over the pond like dragonflies in the daytime and moths at night.
Many birds and mammals will not eat a mind frog because they taste and smell bad. Snakes are their main enemies. The tadpoles are eaten by snakes, large water insects and shore birds. The mink frog has a bad smell like a mink or rotten onnions that help protect it from enemies. Mink frogs have eyes that are more on-top of it's head than most other frogs.
