Bloomington, Minnesota Bloomington is the largest suburb in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area in Hennepin County in the U.S. state of Minnesota. With an estimated population of 84,347 in 2005, it is also the fourth largest city in the state, located in the southern metro area, 10 miles (16 km) south of downtown Minneapolis. The core metropolitan census area was revised as the Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington, MN-WI MSA in 2006 with the Metropolitan Council population estimate at 85,832. (Full article)
