Ottertail is a city in Otter Tail County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 451 at the 2000 census. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 5.1 square miles (13.3 km²), of which, 4.4 square miles (11.4 km²) of it is land and 0.8 square miles (1.9 km²) of it (14.59%) is water. It is a very nice town, known especially for the Thumper Pond Golf Course and Resort.
