Long Prairie, Minnesota Long Prairie is a city in Todd County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 3,040 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Todd County. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.4 square miles (6.3 km²), of which, 2.4 square miles (6.1 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.2 km²) of it (2.88%) is water.
