Minnesota Lightning is a professional American women’s soccer team, founded in 2006, which is a member of the United Soccer Leagues W-League, the premier women’s soccer league in the United States. The Lightning play in the Midwest Division of the Central Conference.
They currently play their home games at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium in Falcon Heights, Minnesota, 7 miles east of downtown Minneapolis. The team's colors are navy blue and pale blue.
The team is a sister organization of the men's Minnesota Thunder team, which plays in the USL First Division.
