Minnesota Bluegrass and Old-Time Music Association

The Minnesota Bluegrass and Old-Time Music Association is a music organization based out of Minnesota, founded in 1975. It promotes old-time and bluegrass music. The organization organizes three annual concerts, the Minnesota Bluegrass Community Concert Series, Winter Bluegrass Weekend and the Lonely Pines Concert Series.

The Minnesota Bluegrass and Old-Time Music Association (MBOTMA) is a 501c3 non-profit music organization based in Minnesota. It was founded in 1975. It's mission is to preserve and promote bluegrass and old-time stringband music in and around Minnesota. The organization organizes four annual festival weekends. Two are indoors ("The Winter Bluegrass Weekend" which occurs the first weekend in March and the "Harvest Jamboree" which occurs in November. Both of these events are in the Minneapolis area) and two are outdoors ("The Homegrown Kickoff" the first weekend in June and - the main event of the year - the four day festival occurring the second weekend in August (Thursday through Sunday) both of these are at the El Rancho MaƱana campground in Richmond MN), Additionally MBOTMA organizes the Minnesota Bluegrass Community Concert Series, the Lonely Pines Concert Series, various jam sessions, educational workshops, school programs, and publishes a monthly magazine called "Inside Bluegrass."
