Minami Con is one of the UK's longest-running anime conventions. It was founded in 1995 "to promote the cuter side of anime". It is based in Southampton, a fact testified to in its name, as the Japanese word minami translates as 'South'.
Unlike AmeCon and AyaCon, it runs annually, but is somewhat smaller in scale.
The most recent Minami Con took place over the weekend 29th February to 2nd March 2008
