Mimulopsis elliotii is a flowering shrub from the family Acanthaceae and species of the genus Mimulopsis and can be found growing on the Ruwenzori Range in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.[2]

Up to 2 meters (6.6 ft) tall and distinctive from its neighbors due to its large cream colored flowers, Mimulopsis elliotii is common on the mountains in the same altitudes as the bamboos,[2] between 2,500 meters (8,200 ft).[3] and 3,300 meters (11,000 ft).[2] element of the bamboo zone, distinctive by the relatively large, cream, flowers. On the Ruwenzori Range, at 3,000 meters (9,800 ft) stands of Yushania alpina grow along with an "impenetrable belt of Mimulopsis elliotii".[4]
