[edit] Reactor-grade plutonium test
I think it would be worth including the first test using reactor-grade plutonium (non-deployable) here, by the U.S. in 1962, see [1], because it emphasised the need for protecting spent nuclear fuel. Unfortunately I do not know the exact day in 1962, or the name of the test. Does anyone? Rwendland 11:42, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
- I wouldn't consider that really a "milestone" test, personally, even though it is interesting. "Milestone" as far as I have been understanding it relates to the first tests of major weapon types, and I don't considering switching out one type of plutonium or another to be quite "major" enough to make this chart (if it were, then we'd also want to tell when they used composite cores, etc.). --Fastfission 15:39, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
