Assessment comments
The following comments were left by the assessors: (edit ยท refresh) Apart from the aircraft invetory, this is taken from the CIA, and is also outdated. Needs an update from CIA, look at the French government resources (go to the French Embassy, in Guinea's site, look for Multi-lateral cooperation, Military). Also (as most of these Military of... articles, it needs some social/historical background. What's the military's role in government? have they taken part in coups? repression? corruption? business? transitions to democracy? What's their relations with foreing powers like? They rejected the French under Toure, which was VERY different from most of their neighbors, whose militaries were staffed with French officers for years after indepence. What part did they play in the cold war? T L Miles (talk) 17:36, 7 March 2008 (UTC) |
