Millionaire Matchmaker is a dating television show produced by US network Bravo and presented by Patti Stanger. Stanger founded the Beverly Hills-based "Millionaire's Club" in 2000 to cater for wealthy men looking for partners. [1] The premise of the program is that single wealthy men (the station claims that they are all certified millionaires) are given make-overs before being introduced to a selection of women in an attempt to match them up.[2]

[edit] Controversy online

Gossip column website TMZ.com has claimed that the two women featured on the finale of the show may be different what they claimed to be. TMZ emphasized that Cidney, who was portrayed as a Jewish girl with a Masters in Journalism was featured in Playboy's Cybergirl website. However, the episode had already mentioned that Cidney had posed for Playboy, and nothing so far contradicts her statements in regard to religion and education. TMZ claims that another girl on the episode, Marcella, who was portrayed as a travel agent, may resemble an escort in a Florida-based escort service company, although links on TMZ's article link to a dark-skinned brunette who does not resemble Marcella, rather than to a blonde.[3]
