[edit] Deleting BS pages

Just read WP:CSD, find an appropriate reasoning, and add the appropriate deletion template to the top of the article you think needs deleting. For non-CSD cases, see WP:PROD and WP:AfD. -- Consumed Crustacean (talk) 06:21, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Edit Summary Request

I have noted that you edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky or even vandalizing. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks! -- Kukini 21:17, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
and while i am here....

[edit] Donnie Darko

Just curious...why did you delete the section on the Donnie Darko products? --Kukini 21:19, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

Ah...I see...please do your best to sign all talk on talk pages with four of these: ~. --Kukini 21:32, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Edit summary usage

Please make sure your edit summaries match the edits you are making. For example, the following one does not match [1].--Kukini 21:47, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

I'll bet you that he reverted this only seconds after that user removed the comment (while still leaving that blank space that was removed in the noted edit). -- Consumed Crustacean (talk) 22:02, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Edit Summaries

'Pure Vandalism' is not a very good edit summary. It leads people to believe that you are inserting vandalism instead of reverting it. When reverting vandalism, other edit summaries you could use are "rv" or "rvv". With popups, a summary is automatically added. --SonicChao talk 23:30, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Please consider also warning vandals

Thank you for reverting vandalism on Wikipedia. Could you also please consider using our vandal warning system [2]? First offenses get a "test1," then a "test2," followed by a "test3" and "test4." At the end of this, if the vandal persists, he or she merits blocking for a period of time. If you do this, it will greatly help us in decreasing vandalism on Wikipedia. Much thanks, -- Kukini 01:49, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

Mike, to get this answer, you need to read "cleaning up vandalism" in the link I provided you in the welcome. Also, while you are reading, please read how to "sign your posts" correctly. --Kukini 15:46, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your VandalProof Application

Dear Mike Winters,

Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact the just released 1.3 version has even more power. Because of this we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that at this time you do not meet the minimum requirement of 250 edits to mainspace articles (see under main here). Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again soon. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof. Prodego talk 20:14, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
