There seems to be a dispute around the ethnic origin of Lazarev.

It would be better is some sort of references will be provided. Quick googling confirms that he was from the Vladimir gubernia, but I cannot find the story about his Jewish convert mother, nor about his Armenian origin abakharev 01:07, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

This Lazarev is unrelated to the Armenian Lazarevs.--Eupator 20:45, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
