[edit] Merge

I'm not sure this should be a separate article. What do you think? Superm401 - Talk 07:52, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

    • He is a notable politician involved in a shooting. If he dies more info about him will become apparent. Editorofthewiki (talk) 20:45, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

Whether he passes or survives, his stature will be raised. If he passes he is an executive politician murdered in a mass killing. If he survives he will become a symbol for the community in overcoming the tragedy. Either way, it'd be best to wait until further events unfold. Sluhser589 (talk) 05:56, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

      • Some don't exactly think that way, he has been called "the most racist man in Missouri"... yet another reason to have a seperate article. Editorofthewiki (talk) 21:14, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

I deleted the controversy section because its only reference was to a fringe group claiming him to be "the most racist man in Missouri." This does not merit inclusion. Sluhser589 (talk) 02:32, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

    • Merge. Not notable outside of being a victim in a single event. Yaf (talk) 07:02, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
      • WP:BIO states: Major local political figures who have received significant press coverage. He has received significant press coverage, albeit if only for his role in the tragedy, and IMO mayors of places with populations of 25,000 are notable. If Kirkwood had a population of ~1,000 then I would reconsider. Editorofthewiki 16:10, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Strongly Oppose Merger, this article should be expanded to include more details about him in addition to the Kirkwood City Hall shootings.
