Mike Slemen

Michael Anthony Charles Slemen (born 11 May 1951) is a former England international rugby union player. He toured South Africa in 1980 with the British and Irish Lions and at the time played club rugby for Liverpool.

He currently teaches Physical Education (and has done for many years) at the Merchant Taylors' School, Crosby, where he is also senior rugby master. Slemen is known affectionately by pupils as 'Slembob', and is renowned both for his genius on the Croquet Lawn and his love of garden parties.
