Mike Lunsford

Mike Lunsford is a Vice President of Earthlink and served as interim CEO, taking over from Garry Betty who died from a serious form of cancer. Lunsford was named CEO on November 21, 2006 by Earthlink's Board of Directors. Before November 21, Lunsford served as the vice president of voice and access for Earthlink. At Earthlink, he served in a number of different executive roles including oversight of product, marketing, loyalty, broadband and special projects.
Before joining EarthLink, Lunsford worked as a consultant at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) in Chicago and Scott, Madden & Associates, a management consulting firm in Raleigh, North Carolina.
He received an undergraduate degree and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of North Carolina.
