Michael Jones (born 15 August 1987 in Birkenhead) is a professional footballer currently playing as a right or centre midfielder for Tranmere Rovers.

Michael came through the youth ranks with Tranmere Rovers making his first team début on the 6 May 2006 against Doncaster Rovers.

He joined Shrewsbury Town on loan in January 2007, making his club début as a half-time substitute - and scoring - in the 1-1 draw against Lincoln City on January 13, 2007. He returned to Tranmere at the end of the season.
