Michael Roy Fitzgerald (born July 13, 1960 in Long Beach, California), is a former professional baseball catcher who played in the Major Leagues from 1983 to 1992.

- On September 13, 1983, Fitzgerald came to bat for the New York Mets, and became the 48th player in major league history to hit a home run in his first Major League at-bat. It was a solo shot off Tony Ghelfi of the Philadelphia Phillies.
- On December 14, 1984, the New York Mets traded Fitzgerald to the Montreal Expos, along with outfielder Hubie Brooks, outfielder Herm Winningham and minor league pitcher Floyd Youmans. In exchange, the Mets received catcher Gary Carter.
