Mike Fitzgerald co-authored a book with Tennessee-based boxing writer David Hudson entitled "Boxing's Most Wanted," and also judges professional boxing matches.
Authored boxing's all-time knockout leader, Archie Moore's biography, The Ageless Warrior. Also co-authored books on Ken Norton, Earnie Shavers and Craig Bodzianowski.
Fitzgerald had about 20 amateur bouts, won a Toughman Contest in Dubuque, IA in 1991 and had one bout as a professional boxer at the Fieldhouse in Madison.
