Darkorbit is an internet game on bigpoint.com. You are in a ship and destroy aliens and get to new levels. Fivestar game. Very addicting even though it's 2D.

It's a multiplayer game so you can enjoy meeting other players and suffer from enemies. The game is totally about relationships between stronger players and noobs.
